Amanda & Ian were a couple who had told me from the beginning that they hate having their photo taken. I get this a lot. People who don’t want anything posed, they don’t want to feel like they’ve been put on the spot and they usually shy away from the camera.
This is why so many people come to me.
I pride myself on my ability to get people to relax when I’m taking their photos. I make sure I have met my clients at least twice before the big day so that they don’t have a stranger taking their wedding photos on the most special day of their lives. My aim is to capture couples in that moment of realisation that they just got married. I want them to wonder off into the distance having the only moment of peace they will get all day and take the photos that will show them in their most relaxed; when they are together and have just signed the paper that means they will be so for the rest of their lives.
It makes for some really beautiful and natural images.
